It is my pleasure to write about my working experinces under the lead of Uati (Ed). When I began my tenure at AXA/AMP was when I first met Uati. From that moment I was taken back about how warm and welcoming Ed was he showed care for not only myself but anyone he came across whether it was direct employees or his customers. Ed put alot of his personal time in providing ongoing support and training sacrificing his own work at that time. He has such an inspring attitude, it made you want to be your best. As a manager he had so much knowledge from a product perspective but it was his leadership that stood out. He was inspirational to all his direct reports ,his constant display of agile management and willingness to implement changes which was due to his amazing business sense. His lead showed all who worked for him he cared about his people and also the sucess of the business as a whole, making many decisions overtime which were extremely successful. Ed gave flexibility and freedom to allow me to grow in my role, always supporting me and others to get the best out of ourselves. Humble , Respectful, caring, puts others first , amazing leader ,motivating and inspirational are words that come to mind when I think of my time working under Ed and even as we have moved on with careers he is always there for you, if I have had the chance again to work under or alongside him, i would jump at the oppotunity. I could not recomend anyone more , love the guy!!

I have known Edy for 10+ years, he is an inspirational person that I look up to for guidance and support. He has an amazing spirit that shows empathy, gratitude and patience for those who really need his guidance. Anyone who is lost in their path or journey in this life, I encourage you to reach out to Edy, if you want anyone to be in your corner you would want this human and some of you maybe lucky enough to know Edy but I’m grateful to call him friend.

It was an absolute pleasure working in a leadership team alongside Edy. Describing his leadership is easy, he serves his people. Authentic and compassionate, Edy gets results through the team he leads because they feel valued and well taken care of. In the context of an operational leader, Edy adds great value by influencing with clear articulation of his vision and experienced methodology backed up with a sound understanding of the detail. His leadership credibility extends beyond his working life and is evident via him being bestowed the title of Matai or Chief in the community of his Samoan heritage, whose principal duty is to lead, serve and protect his family and community. I value Edy's professional and personal mateship as someone guided by his unwavering principles, core values, and trust. To this end, I would highly recommend as a leader in any organisation.
